Endoscopic techniques for spine surgery have evolved substantially and provide a convincing alternative to open or tubular surgery. Numerous studies have shown that these techniques yield similar or even better functional outcomes for patients, while also resulting in reduced infection rates, blood loss, hospital stays and reliance on pain medications. The improved effectiveness of endoscopic spine surgery has in part been attributed to the advancements in technology, which have led to substantial enhancements in visualization, magnification, instrument selection and surgeon ergonomics. The primary objective of this course is to spotlight the technical aspects of endoscopic spine surgery to encourage its wider adoption within the medical community. Participants will gain insight into best practices for incorporating these techniques into their surgical practices and understand the current needs and potential future developments within this field.
